Italian is the fourth most studied language in the world after English, Spanish and Chinese. According to data released during the Stati Generali della Lingua Italiana nel Mondo (Estates General of the Italian Language in the World), which took place in Florence in recent days, in the school year 2014/2015 foreign students of Italian language in the world were 2,233,373. Today, Albania is the country in the world where the Italian language is more widespread among the population, after Italy of course, thanks to the Italian television signal that comes easily in Albania. This has contributed greatly to the spread of the Italian language in Albania.
